Mike Shanahan Mic'd Up
NFL Videos: Sound FX: Shanahan Mic'd up
I like how he's involved with the actual game, not going over technique with McNabb during the game like Zorn used to do with Campell There were a couple of times that Kyle had the look of "Daaaad, just let me do my job" Notice Fletcher taking responsibility for the Austin catch late in the game

Re: Mike Shanahan Mic'd Up
Is it not amazing to have a......PROFESSIONAL coaching staff and product to put on the field?
London Fletcher....what can be said... he's the best. I would love to make him a Redskin coach when he retires

Re: Mike Shanahan Mic'd Up
Yeah that was good footage it would be nice to see stuff like that more often. Kyle was like come on Pops I got this. Shanny seemed on the ball I just cant wait to see what unfolds this year.
This is not a hijack: Did anyone hear the hecklers at T.Romo Press Conf. That was a great moment in Press Conf. history. I couldnt stop lauging I replayed it over and over. The only reason I bring it up is cuz my internet service has been out for a while. I've missed over 6,000 post And I didn't want to start a thread over an old news. But I'm so glad to be back online once again. I also like the way he was on the refs. butt. GOOD STUFF! Great Win!

Re: Mike Shanahan Mic'd Up
I think it's only natural for Mike and Kyle to have a dialogue throughout the game regarding plays. I think it's a good thing.

Re: Mike Shanahan Mic'd Up
I really wasn't sure how to feel watching the segments where MS and Kyle were talking, sometimes Kyle did have the look of a son whose dad was overstepping, but at the same time, I don't know enough coachspeak to even come close to making an informed opinion.
I will say this, I'd rather have that then Wade Phillips whose comment on the fumble was that he was talking with the defensive guys about us not accepting the penalty when he saw the fumble. Come on, there are 10 seconds in the half, the "Head Coach" ought to be at least paying attention to the offensive situation and standing with the OC. I wonder if at some level JJ isn't ticked that he didn't go get MS this offseason. (I would say also that I think the cowboys would be scary good with MS, KS, and Haslett -- long live JJ) |

Re: Mike Shanahan Mic'd Up
If you take the Dad/son element out of it, these types of exchanges happen all the time among coaches throughout games.

Re: Mike Shanahan Mic'd Up
On a side note that call on Fletch was just simply horrible. Some of these refs really need to take out their tampons.

Re: Mike Shanahan Mic'd Up
Yeah that call was pretty piss poor, the guy was fighting for yards and not even on the ground yet I don't know how they could say that play was dead

Re: Mike Shanahan Mic'd Up
The worst call was the Cooley in motion call.
