Ade to get a "long look"...
From Redksins.com:
The Redskins will also look at some of the younger players on the roster, particularly at cornerback. Third-year cornerback Ade Jimoh and first-year defensive backs Garnell Wilds and Rufus Brown could get a long look. (Brown is playing in NFL Europe this spring.) I don't see what the fuss is about concerning Smoot. We have Ade in our hip pocket!!!! |

I'd rather see Wilds play then "uh-oh" Jimoh.

Ade Jimoh is the worst player ever. I'm really excited about Garnel Wilds I think he can play. But if you ask me, we should draft pac-man jones if he is one the board.

Jimoh still seems to be lacking in the AWR column. He could be waived pending we draft a CB.

I think Jimoh will be on the roster next season, but I think Walt Harris is gonna start and Wilds will the nickel back.

Its much smarter to promote from within rather than waste the overall #9 pick on a cornerback or o-lineman. That would be ridiculously insane.

Re: Ade to get a "long look"...
I'm telling you The Ade is gonna turn into something. Everybody has this knee-jerk reaction of despisement towards Jimoh. Some is warranted, but a lot is also not well thought out.
I am on record as being the first aboard the Ade Jimoh bandwagon.

Re: Ade to get a "long look"...
Let me try to put this in mathematical terms for everyone.
On average, the Redskins defense will be on the field for 65 plays per game. There are 16 games in the regular season. That means the defense is there to stop the opponent 1040 times. [Wow, does the IRS have a subliminal channel into the NFL?] Here's my assessment of the way things might go next year: If Ade JImoh is out there as a cornerback on 520 of the plays (half the snaps the defense takes), the Skins are in deep yogurt. If he's out there 728 plays (three-quarters of the snaps the defense takes) we can begin to analyze who the Skins ought to take with their top=10 draft pick in the 2006 NFL draft. If he is out there for all 1040 plays, Gregg Williams will be consulting with his clergyman to try to atone for whatever sin he may have committed that would have led to him being punished in this way. But on special teams, Ade Jimoh is fine.
