Doug Williams : att 213/380 56.1% 2,609yds 6.9ypa 15td 12int 10 sacks 77.4 rating
(Fewer Games, but he played one helluva superbowl!) If Monkeyboy hasn't seen those numbers since Doug Williams, he's not a real Redskins fan besides, Doug Williams didn't have any great seasons, but one good one with a great post season. Thats why he isn't in the hall of fame. Here are some QBs who, as Redskins, had comparable season: Rypien's best: att 249/421 59.1% 3,564yds 8.5ypa 28td 11int 7sacks 97.9 rating (plus a Superbowl Win) Brunnell's best: att 262/454 57.7% 3,050yds 6.7ypa 23td 10int 27sacks 85.9 rating Trent Green : att 278/509 54.6% 3,441yds 6.8ypa 23td 11int 49sacks 81.8 rating That being said, Statisticaly, Jason Campbell isn't bad at all. he ain't the best out there, but neither was Brad Johnson when he took his team to get a Superbowl Ring. |

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong -- fine, I hope he can light it up again. But I don't think it's out of the question to suggest that Santana Moss' best days are long gone. |

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Take your time and peruse some of the boards comments. There are a lot of guys that are not so sad to have traded McNabb to us. Hell they even think its funny we'd want him.

I agree, there's nothing special about Santana any more. He's still a threat, I suppose but I would mind seeing us move him for a nice pick too.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
My guess is that Shanahan doesn't like Campbell, doesn't like Clausen, and doesn't think McCoy will be available with the 37th pick. That's the only way this move makes sense to me, because while it unarguably makes us better next year, it does not lay the foundation for a legitimate championship run for the immediate future. We still need a QB for that - a legit franchise QB - and McNabb be not he. I find talk of Donovan giving us five or even three productive years wildly optimistic. I put the over/under at two. This is not Brett Favre who played basically his entire career injury free. McNabb is a guy whose career was in free-fall after suffering severe season ending injuries in 06 and 07; a guy whose physical condition has always been a question mark. A guy who will be playing behind a line without a single entrenched starter.
I don't support this move, although I am praying that McNabb forces me to eat a hot steaming plate of crow at some point. I like him fine as a guy, although as an Eagles hater I always enjoyed watching him invariably meltdown in big moments. Anyway, we'll see.... |

Maybe it was Zorn's backward-moving, inept offense. But it just seems like it's been much easier for opposing defenses to scheme him out of the game. |
