Now that is funny!

Oh don't worry, old man Rypien may have failed in certain areas (out passes, according to Gibbs) but he had a heck of a deep ball. McNabb is better than that and if he does start stinking? Ride the running game.

I'm sure he'll be wearing #5 at whatever NFL team he'll go during training camp.

Donovan is now the biggest sports star in DC.
Depends on who you are asking because DC has the greatest hockey player on the planet as well.

Interesting...

Campbell wasn't told of trade | Washington Examiner

Is this for real?

Not sure if OV's publicity is up to par just yet. After all, it's Crosby who gets all the marketing deals.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!

I just don't know about this. McNabb is definitely an upgrade from Campbell, no doubt about that! I am SURPRISED that the Eagles traded him to a division foe. This is all very shocking to me! before we get to the Elway comparisons with the age, let's just remember that Elway had been in Denver for years before Shanahan came to town AND Elway had been to at least three Super Bowls before Shanahan came to town. McNabb is in a new city, new team, and has been to one Super Bowl. Don't know if it's fair to compare McNabb to Elway. Two different situations!

You've seen the last of JC in a Redskin uniform.
Maybe neither are a part of Shanahan's plans? JC to Buffalo for a 2nd or 3rd round pick gives you guys what you wanted.... more picks.

McNabb plus our 1st round pick moves us up to #1 overall. The Rams were interested in McNabb but didn't get anything done. I think we have the availability though.

GTripp, who knew that when we were talking about what seemed to be totally hypothetical at 2:00 a.m., that we will get a definitive answer over the next few years.

I think both of us hope that my position was right! ;-)

I'm sure the Rams would have wanted our 1st/2nd rounders this year and a third or fourth next year instead.

Rather that, then watch the rest of the team play fairly well and JC throw games away (or damn near) that we should win, or watch him miss scoring opportunities on a regular basis, or have the coaching staff have to tailor the gameplan around JC's limitations.

And on the injury thing, in the last three years (since JC has been a full-time starter) McNabb missed 4 games, JC missed 3. Since McNabb's injuries, he's been a lot more selective running the ball.
