Apprentice 3
Anyone watching the latest installment? Book smarts vs. street smarts
Any thoughts? I think the book smarters are getting their asses hand to them for the most part, but neither group has been all that impressive Matty, you still watch The Apprentice?

That's the only show I watch religiously.
I like this year's twist with the book smarts vs. street smarts. I think in the end the book smart people will win out, but then again I'm a little biased. I didn't see last night's episode yet because I have class on Thurs. nights, but I record it and watch it Friday night. Was it just me or were the first two people who were booted two of the worst candidates that have been on the show. The first guy was a clueless leader and the 2nd guy was an ignorant blowhard and frankly not very intelligent, he reminded me of a guy I used to know who always thought he was right no matter what. I think that comes along with the little man syndrome, no offense to our vertically challenged members, LOL. What do you think of think of it so far, SS? |

I think most of the candidates are really weak. I think someone like Kendra is going to go far because she basically doesn't get involved at all or take risks. She'll sneak in under the radar to the final 4, that's my feeling
At some point though I imagine they're going to mix and match the teams, like they've done in previous seasons, so that the numbers are equal. That will be interesting to see: book smarts and street smarts together

I love the show but it has issues. In the first season he always fired the right person. Since then it seems basically he always fires the PM no matter what. I didn't see last night's episode yet either but week in and week out there is always some tard who sucks but doesn't get fired because he/she wasn't PM. He blames everything on the PM. Why would anyone ever want to be PM in this game? The key is to sit back and say nothing and just do something on every task without taking any leadership role. That'll get you to the final 6 or so before you even have to worry about doing antyhing. That being said I am convinced that before the show even starts he identifies the two or three people he would actually ever consider for the job and just plays along as the weeks go by. I don't think he really cares on a week to week basis since there are only a couple he'd even consider hiring.

The PM definitely feels the heat, but in this season the first two PM's were god-awful, they had to go.
