Game changing plays are hard to come by, and I can't remember a single one Doughty has made in all the time he's been on this team. Before week 1, if you told me that Horton would finish the season with 2 INTs and a fumble recovery, I would have been happy. Hell, he's already done that in one game.

I understand the plays were easy, and he'll have bad games. I just don't see any valid argument for starting Doughty.

Does anyone here even think Doughty would finish the season with 2 INTs and a fumble recovery, if he starts the remaining games? I don't.

I think all we need to know is right here:

"There will be much more complicated situations that [Horton] would have to perform in to say that he is going to be the starter. But he certainly helped us have confidence in putting him in situations."

Translation: good game but we need to see more of him before he's handed the job.
