Bush supporters will never be convinced that going into Iraq was the wrong move.

We went in because of the supposed real threat of weapons of mass destruction. Bush managed to convinced the entire country that Sadam was a very real threat to our national security. Turns out Sadam had nothing, so where was this threat? Oh that's right, it didn't exist.

No problem for Bush and his backers though, they just changed gears from our primary purpose was to disarm him, to the world is a better place with him not in power. That's fine, but where were these weapons? Why can't Bush just admit they went to war with flawed information. Our soliders are being killed because we went to war on false pretenses.

Seems like a wasted effort to alot of people, but Bush and his supporters will blindly trudge through wasting thousands of lives in the process, all in the name of protecting us from WOMD, ooops, I forgot, there wasn't any. So why are we over there again? Because we care so much about spreading peace and democracy? Please, that's a joke and an insult to any person with a brain.

Bush never seems to have solid answers as to how he plans on bringing this to a conclusion, he just keeps saying we have to push forward. So what's the exit strategy? Is there one? How is this going to end? Or is it just going to be an endless cycle of violence and retaliations?

I sure as hell wouldn't put my life on the line for this administration if I was called on and I'm sure there are thousands upon thousands of people who feel the same way. I can only imagine the national revolt if a draft was put in place.

my point is, even if they did exist, how did Bush think he was going to use them against us?? send some Super SCUD over? and not expect the world to come down on him?

how was he a threat to us even IF bush was right about the weapons?? anyone?

You shouldn't have to go if your drafted. Just follow your leaders, who either never showed up for duty or took deferments.

if he had WoMD, there's a thing called a dirty bomb... you get a nuke in a backpack and explode it... no need for missiles. And he did at one point have WoMD, and he had actually used them (on his own people), and he had started wars of aggression with neighboring countries, 4th largest military airforce in the world, and he had tried to assassinate a US president. He was clearly a threat... big enough to go to war over? not so sure, but i find it hard for people to sit there and act like he was innocent or that he didn't have malicious desires...

The watchful eye of the UN was saying no publicly and selling him military equipment under the table (russian generals as consultants, russian gear including radar jammers, parts for french mirage jet fighters, among many other things)... the UN as a governing body truly sucks, cause it has no real power and each member is sent to represent countries that definately place their own agendas far in front of those that are best for the entire globe (in other words, its corrupt and without substantial oversight).

lets say, he did have WMD (he didn't), lets say he did have the intent (he didnt, aside from in his dreams, besides with what? even the nuke plans were dusty), think all our allies would'nt have come down on him if he attacked the United States?? (yeah, we used to have allies..) we are FAR from a neighboring country, we are even LESS his own people. did you see how long it took our tiny part of the #1 army in the world to bitch aside the #4 army in the world (where the difference between 1st and 2nd is a tripling)?

why is it hard to believe he was a threat? cuz he wasn't. and thats been proven now. binladen was. bush had a hard-on for sadam and got him, no matter what the cost. he spent a FRACTION of what he spent in iraq in money and troops in afghanistan, and binladen is healthy, out of the caves and mocking us. thats INCOMPETENCE on massive scale.

well, the US made sure the UN stays irrelevant by dismissing it and acting unilaterally. talk about pushing an agenda thats only good for one country (and it sure wasn't 'self-defense'). those 'russians' sure armed him pretty well, looks like it may have set us behind a week in turning his whole country to shit. the UN and more importantly our allies near and wide, kept sadam in check (he DIDNT have anything! why?) and the UN did a MUCH better job in assesing sadam's threat level than our 'intelligence', but bush made sure to attack before they could come to the right conclusion. yeah. fishy. and now, we're the global AGGRESSOR, the most hated country in the world (aside from maybe n.korea) and have alienated most of our allies...

bet you guys feel safe out there in bush country. the next time i smell burning hair and flesh in the air for three weeks straight, hope it's not my own.
