Redskins Release Espy and Harris

They have released both of them. Kind of suprised me, I am not sure why before camp. They also added Mathias Askew.

noooooo please tell me that is a misprint Espy damn we didn't give him a chance. I guess they want taller & bigger WR's now.

Re: Redskins Relaese Espy and Harris

Espy was a good story, it's just a shame he blew his knee out. He will have to work hard to make a team, but even w/extremely hard work he might not be back to what he was & he was never a burner to begin with.

I don't know that this signals any more than the usual roster shuffling done at this time of year. We already know that wr is a position the Skins want to upgrade. Whether by draft or fa, there will be some competition in camp. They let him go early so he can try elsewhere. Who knows if he's even able to run in ota's?

NO!! Why release Espy? I love that guy, I hope they don't regret not giving him a chance after his injury. This really sucks!!

Re: Redskins Relaese Espy and Harris

Meh, they had a good run.

This doesn't really signify anything, I think. Just some typical roster moves where you are trying to get guys in here to sign the next big thing...that much should be interesting.

I agree, I thought they loved Espy. Maybe, he was not working hard to rehab.

Re: Redskins Release Espy and Harris

I liked Espy.

I think a team with a gaping hole at WR wouldn't mind signing him.

Re: Redskins Release Espy and Harris

Come on Espy? Like he was going to make an impact with us anyway!!! We need big, tall, and quick WRs that can actually produce. Always amazes me how many guys get pissed about some eternal special teams/bench scrub with maybe a little potential gets canned when we need guys that can start for sure. We needed to clean house at WR and that is exactly what the Skins are doing. With the exception of Santana, Michael Westbrook and Albert Connell look like all HOFers compared to the bums we have had the past few years. Patten, Llyod, Randle El til last year, and that bum we drafted out of Miami(what's his name?) all sucked rocks. Espy and Harris were emergency scrubs at best.

He never really had a chance to make an impact. Espy's young, I think if he can continue to rehab that knee, he'll have a decent career somewhere else.
