Is anyone here going to be there tommorrow? I got my wife and I VIP tickets for the event. It will be our first one ever.

Re: Shamrock Fest @ RFK tommorrow
I guess that nobody on here likes beer or bands. My mistake. I will never ask again.

I would go, since I like beer, and I'm in a band, but I've been sick so I'm sitting it out.

I've been the last few years. I think it is a Rip off. It use to be alot better when it was in downtown Arlington, now it is in a parking lot.

I wanted to go so bad but I couldn't get tickets and my best friend is out of town right now and my plan isn't go and get rubbed on by drunk sweaty dudes.
At least not alone. And I only know like.. 2 of the bands that are going to be there. But good music is good music. Have fun SSG.

Re: Shamrock Fest @ RFK tommorrow
I never go to anything like that... I don't know why. I skipped work one year and went to kegs and eggs on a whim... like I pulled into the parking lot of the job and as I was walking in a freind and I were talking about listening to it on the radio, and we turned around and went to lulu's. It was fun at first, but then I had to make my way out of DC totally hammered in the middle of mid afternoon traffic... and that blew pretty bad.
Let me know how it turns out... I'd like to give the 'big' party scene another shot..

Re: Shamrock Fest @ RFK tommorrow
OK, this was my experience. Hopped on the Metro with my wife and got 1/4 of the way there and she realized that she forgot our tickets. Hopped off, went back ,and picked them up. Got back on compleetly packed Metro all of the way there. Stood in line for 30minuites to buy a green hat and some beeds. Went through the VIP entrance very quickly. Stood in line and got 2 beers a piece. Realized we were hungry and left VIP area to get food.
Ate food Caught a band Caught a riverdance show Went back to VIP area Got beer Realized my shoulder was killing me Gave away VIP wrist bands Left early Took empty metro to Wheaton mall Got a massage and acupuncture for throbbing shoulder Got back on metro Went to Mcdonalds Hopped on bus Went home Might have had a better time if I wasnt in so much pain. But this time sucked. |

Re: Shamrock Fest @ RFK tommorrow
I actually was there, I had no computer access all weekend so I didnt see this thread, but I had a pretty good time there, had a couple good concerts, some good beer. We were there early, left pretty early to nap too before going out...but I had fun, how was your time?

Re: Shamrock Fest @ RFK tommorrow
i was there on sat. To sum it up, i spent 25$ to go watch a bunch of no name cover bands and spend 50$ on beer, but the weather was nice and i got to see some good friends before my spring break came to a close.
