QB Vs. Cow-Whores

I think that we'll have Ramsey ready and able in this one.

Your thoughts?

I agree Redskinrat. Even though its Monday Night against the Cowboys, we can risk Brunell if hes going to be our starter the whole season. We just cant. I've obviously stated my love for Ramsey, so I'm easily taking him over TH.

If Brunell can play, he will start.

If he is too injured to play, Ramsey will start.

Here is what you have to hope for in this situation. You do NOT want to see Tom Tupa taking any snaps under center!

Coach Gibbs said that Ramsey will be ready to go Monday. Let's hope he has a good week at practice and it translates into the game. After hearing some of the players today, I think we will see a much better performance this week......starting with the offense.

I'm not sure it is possible to have another week like that. The stars must have been aligned for the Giants. We beat ourselves. Time to play like the Ravens did and just let the defense win while we tweek the offense little by little.

Mark will not be able to go, so it's Ramsey and it's his show. He said in camp he'd be ready when called..so it's time to put up.

Ramsey will start Sunday.
You'll see a different Ramsey. He doesn't want to suck. And Gibbs is too old to put up w/ a QB putting up below mediocre numbers. You won't see 7 turnovers on Monday night. You'll see Patrick Ramsey the hero of the Washington/ Metropolitan area!

Rams numbers!

Rams numbers are not gaudy! Ranked 17 if he had enough snaps, which he doesn't! But he needs to hand the ball off more, and look for the underneath stuff.

Sunday looked like Ram did a re-take of OBC and the College Offense. Looking deep first, then throwing it while trying to thread a needle, without looking for an 8-10 yd out instead!

I picked Ramsey, because that what it looks like Gibbs wants to do. It should be Brunell if he's healthy, but I get the impression that Coach Joe may be sort of using this injury as an excuse to get Patrick in there to see if he can spark the offense. On Sunday, he came in trying to win the game, not manage it. I'm very curious to see how he does for a whole game, especially after a week's worth of practice with the first team.

Much as I'd love to see us crush Dallas, if Ramsey starts I'm afraid that won't happen. I just don't see him "morphing" into a competent QB in one week. He's been struggling since last season and continues to struggle now. Add in the added pressure of the Dallas game and playing on Monday night and I'm afraid he will not respond well to the pressure, just as he has not responded well to the pressure of the QB competition in training camp.

I just hope the rest of the offense plays well and that the "D" continues to do so too and that might be enough to offset any mistakes that Ramsey might make.

Don't get me wrong - I'd love to see Ramsey play a good, solid game. I just see no reason to expect that, just because we fans so desperately want it to happen.

Still, I will be glued to the set on Monday night, wishing for the best, but holding my breath every time Ramsey sets up to throw.

I agree with you. I think Ramsey is gonna be a star in this league. I was just hoping he has a little more time in this offense, but he's gonna have to learn fast.
