Re: Trip
Hoggie, sorry. It's simple. Some rules are not meant to be bent or broken no matter who or where your from. To get around the 10 post thingy might be better to throw questions at "TheHogs.net". This question might have been better posted there. They like new comers with new questions.

Re: Trip
Why is everyone ganging up on this guy? He's been around for a year and a half, chose mainly to lurk, and now that he has a legitimate question he's getting hazed for breaking a petty new law designed to stop tired, useless threads, which this certainly isn't. If this was a 'Betts vs Portis' thread then I'd understand, but honestly, give him a break.

Re: Trip
I was not trying to be mean. I was being sarcastic. You know people talking about bending rules in basketball....."Leaving the bench."lol. But I was serious about posting in another web site. The other web site does not have problems with people being new and posting. Why some do is beyond me. I suppose it's to weed out the Dallas lovers who pretend to be skins fans and then post something demeaning. Although I imagine it would be easier to simply ban them then tell a newbe not to post until you have 10 posts. Each site has it's quircky rules everyone has to follow.

Re: Trip
Whoah let's take a step back here, nobody is bashing this guy.
I simply pointed out our forum guidelines to him. We have a 10 post minimum in place for a reason. It helps to keep spammers away, and it encourages people to take their time in getting involved with the board rather than just joining and starting to post right away with topics that are probably already being discussed. Petty or not, we have guidelines in place to help improve the overall experience on the site. |

Re: Trip
Okay guys this is my 10th post so that's one problem solved. (lets not start bickering amongst ourselves, leave that to the pokes) So can anyone add to the previous posts to make my stay in DC even more enjoyable.
H PS I hope to see you guys when i come over, I'll be wearing a Scottish Claymore jacket (we had an NFLE team a few years back) |

Re: Trip
My understanding is most Motels/Hotels/Inns do have some shuttle to take people to Dulles International but you bay want to call the Place first and ask. The airport may have a shuttle that bounces to several Motels picking up passengers for the trip to Dulles. Washington National would be closer but you may not get a flight coming in from overseas.(and yes I purposfully used Washington National. I refuse to use the other name because it was already named after a President.) How on earth can a D.C. official change a name of a Virginia airport? lol.
