Re: Interesting mock draft
I like that scenario. Harrell fills a need and is good value at that selection. At #28 there seems to be a quite a few top OL still left on the board even after all teams have selected. Guys who are rated higher than Purdue DE Spencer.

Re: Interesting mock draft
Sounds like something we would do, the stupidity that our front office personifies.

Re: Interesting mock draft
That would be a great move by the front office. Exactly why it won't happen.

Re: Interesting mock draft
Our front office would definately do this, the problem is that NE's front office is super smart and they are great at drafting, which is why this trade would never happen, its not good for NE who builds through the draft, not through a few select impact players.

Re: Interesting mock draft
I like this deal, scratch that I LOVE this deal. But it makes too much sense, and the Patriots have too much sense to make this deal.

Re: Interesting mock draft
Wow. I like that mock draft. It's different than the others I've seen in the major media outlets. This guy actually had the balls to predict some trades. I can certainly see Tampa switching places with Detroit. I know how much the Bucs covet Calvin Johnson, and the Lions have made no secret about how they want out of that #2 pick.
Justin Harrell and Anthony Spencer, huh? Two guys who could vastly improve our D-line. One's an end, one's a tackle... I like it. Harrell's a beast. He played against Florida last year despite having a torn biceps. Tough as nails.

Re: Interesting mock draft
The talk of Miami cutting Daunte Culpepper, possibly picking up Trent Green, and then looking to draft a top signal caller in the draft offers the skins an interesting possibility. If Brady Quinn falls to the skins at 6, then they may very well be able to get much more from the Dolphins by swopping picks with them...and dropping to 9th overall, than from Atlanta (who would prolly be looking to trade up for Landry from 8th overall. Then at 9th overall they would still have a chance to pick up a top notch dline player like okoye, while prolly netting a 2nd round pick in the process from Miami. This would be ideal in my mind. What do you guys think??? Realistic??

I do agree w/the idea, we could have our problems solved for several years provided Golston & Carter maintain. |

Re: Interesting mock draft
so with both gaines adams and okoye on the board the skins trade down to draft two far less talented defenders at those positions...i dont think so

Re: Interesting mock draft
Its not just a talent thing, its a risk-reward economic thing. None of these guys have proven themselves in the NFL, and with the 6th pick we would have to pay our pick a ton of cash to an unproven guy who could be a bust. We could possibly solidify two positions that we will need help in instead of one with paying far less, and instead of putting all our eggs in the basket of one 1st rounder who has more potential, we would have another guy to fall upon from this draft if our 1st pick doesnt pan out. Unless we are in love with one of these guys, we should definately trade down.
