1st cuts - August 31

One week from today is the first round of cuts.
The Redskins must get down to 65.
Right now the roster count is 91 (according to Redskins.com).
Who stays?
Who follows Jimoh out of town ?

I agree. I think it's safe to add Cloman to that list.

Has Betts ever been healthy? he deserves to be cut...the other RB's bust there ass in training camp every year only to have this guy w/ "potential" keep making the team. I've had it with Betts. get him out of here adn give one of these other backs a chance.

I'd hate to see Cloman go, I don't think he's been given a fair shot in games. Last year at training camp he seemed like the favorite receiver.

I think Mike Sellers and Leonard Stephens would stay for the first cut.

Sultan McCullough should be on the regular season roster as the primary backup to Portis. Ladell Betts is expendable in part because we can trade him for a mid to late round draft choice.

I think there is absolutly zero chance they cut Harris. They'd take an immediate cap hit plus they are thin at CB to begin with. No chance whatsoever they cut him. They keep him even if they have to amputate his left leg off.

While I agree that it is unlikely that Harris gets cut, I don't think they take a cap hit. As I recall, the deal he signed was contingent on his making the final roster. I may be wrong on that one.

Also, on a side note: When was the last time that the Skins had enough depth to be looking at cutting guys on the first cut who could be NFL players (not necessarily starters but good back up types? Don't recall that debate last year.

I am fairly sure Mike Sellers will not be cut. He is physical enough to play both TE positions and fullback. Gibbs likes him. It becomes a question of do they keep Sellers or Kozlowski? Kozlowski is getting old, but he is a smart player. Sellers is younger but mabe not as crafty Kozlowski....so?

Yeah...I had asssumed he had a bigger SB and no contingencies but as you can see they wouldn't take to much of hit really either way. I still think he makes the squad. Even hurt he is better than Jimoh and Bauman apparently.
