PC vs Xbox

Should I get Madden for my PC (I have a PS2 controller for my computer) or should I go get an Xbox live? I figure both have multi, graphics will be similar (only a smaller monitor as opposed to a TV), etc. Right now I'm leaning towards comp because it's cheaper than buying the box which I probably wouldn't use for anything other than madden. Not very big on console games. Please let me know what you know about the PC version vs the Xbox version! Thanks~

If you want it for PC, you will have to wait until September 8 for the release of the PC version. I wouldn't be surprised if some store offered something like a $10 gift card with purchase of Xbox or Playstation version or some other deal to shave that $10 you would be saving by getting it for PC. I think some store will cave and shave $10 to get you in their door. I did have Madden for PC last year (before I owned an Xbox). It was alright, but you better have a fast processer and decent graphics card. Playing it on Xbox is better than a PC in my opinion.

xbox is 700mhz celeron (sucky intel), geforce 2.5 equivalent graphics card... a 400$ PC will have at least 5-6x the processing power, but monitors need more cpu cause the resolution is much higher than that of a standard TV. I have a amd 2000+ and radeon 8500, which cost me 130$ combined 2-3 years ago and will even play doom 3 reasonably.

as long as you have a real graphics card, get the PC version if thats what you want... if you need the new madden fix before the PC version comes out though... there's only one way to get it...

i had madden 2004 for pc and ps2. Its cool on the computer becaues it keeps more stats and records from year to year. But i like playong on ps2 a lot more, I only do simulated seasons on the computer. I like my big tv to plya on. Ive got a 60 inch tv that has the madden 2003 and 2004 logos burned permantly into the screen, lol.

But, i dont like the xbox controller. So Id get it for comp just so you can use the ps2 controller, i find it much better for madden.

most video cards have video out... i play PC games using my TV as a monitor all the time, the only downside, is if you play the PC on higher resolutions, the text isn't readable... but you can just use the lowest res for your TV.

they have converters that allow u to use a PS2 controller on the x-box which I think is a really kewl idea especially for sport games.

really? hmm. thats kinda cool.

You cant argue that xbox has better graphics. So I wouldnt mind play madden on it, and being able to use the HD to store stats and stuff. But no sense buying an xbox just for slightly better graphics on one game.

I wonder why they only released the colletors version on ps2

i was originally thinking because they are including versions of the game that were released on play station, so it would be easier to make it run on playstatoin. But dont they include a super nintendo version as well?

hmm, well either way, since the other versions are on ps2 I wonder how much that had to do with it.

Of course they jsut realeased mega man anniverary for all the systems and it had games from various platforms on it and they had no problem with that, so it had to have been some financial deal, same with the online thing.
