I don't think there is a financial resson to play Campbell. He's growing and learning in the system fine, he'll be the #2 guy this year and will eventually be a good starter.
There's no reason to throw Brunell's experience away out of impatience. Now Phillip Rivers was an example of a financial reason to start a QB. That's why Brees, although he's been a GREAT QB over the past few years, is now a Saint. Rivers had a HUGE contract and was seeing no opportunities to get on the field. It will be interesting to watch him this year. I bet he won't do as well as Brees did in SD. |
