Yep - just saw that this morning. Sliver of good news although I’d still like to see more of our young guys on the field so that AP can assess what we’ve got.

Poor Burks. Career obviously not going as planned. Comes here and has a really good game. But it's for us, so he must be hurt immediately.

Last season was awesome, but fuck, it's like someone made a deal with the devil. Absolutely NOTHING can go right this season.

You don't remember the Monday night game against the Eagles that was nicknamed the "Body Bag Game"?

"The "Body Bag Game" refers to the November 12, 1990, game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins where the Eagles won 28-14. The game earned its name because of Eagles coach Buddy Ryan's pre-game comments that his team would beat the Redskins so badly "they'll have to be carted off in body bags". The game was extremely physical, resulting in nine Redskins players being injured, including both of their quarterbacks. "

Didn’t Brian Mitchell finish that game as our qb?

Correct. Got revenge in the playoffs though. Gibbs pointed to that season, if not that game, as the foundation for SB 26.

This tweet is great

If you told me at the beginning of the year I’d be upset that Mariota wouldn’t have Treylon Burks to throw to as we took on the Dolphins in Madrid, I would’ve asked you to launch me into the god damn sun. And here we are

Re: Injuries, injuries, injuries

Burks has been injury prone ever since he was drafted by the Titans. Nothing is going to change because he is here. His body is not built for the rigors of NFL football. It sucks because the raw talent is there, but there is no way you can count on a guy like that.

OK that is funny, in a "it's so sad it's funny" kind of way. It's hard to overstate how ridiculous the injury situation has gotten. I fully expect 1-2 new guys going on IR every week at this point.

This is one of the reasons I am not in "all is lost" mode. Injury situation is ridiculous. I think this season is lost, let's just survive it, and regroup for next season

Yep, at this point, I hope the coaches will start playing young players more to see what we can get out of them for next year.
