Re: Jayden Daniels - Commanders QB Thread

this group doesn't rush decisions that don't need to be made yet.

DQ would not project who would be starting at tackle this week when asked. They've said JD will start when he's ready (it'd be shocking if it's not week 1). It's been pretty consistent.

I will be floored if he's not the starter week 1. He'll be ready. If the oline is ready is the question. Kingsbury needs to draw up lots of deep routes. Daniels is lethal with these. One of the finest deep ball passers I've seen. Oline must give him time.

The deep routes are fine but there better be an outlet pass or an escape running lane built into them.

that's why we drafted the bigger slower guys (sinnot, mccaffrey) and signed ekeler. It really feels like there's some potential to be good this year.

Yes Ekeler is going to be great in this offense. Good runner and receiver. Ertz and Sinnot should be good also. Love this offseason. Absolutely killed the skill positions/qb in draft/fa.

McCaffrey running a 4.3 40 is slow?

Even B Sinnott is not "slow" for a TE. 4.68 is ok...not the fastest, but fast enough.

4.47 at the combine. And in today's NFL, yes, that's slow.

4.48 is average for nfl wr’s. So technically he is above average even if slightly but I certainly wouldn’t call it slow.

TE is 4.70 so same can be said for Sinnott. Slightly above average.

McCaffrey is a slot receiver anyway. He doesn’t have to be fast necessarily but quick. The cone drill and shuttle are better tests for a slot guy and he was in the 90 percentile range for both.
