Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I've heard from both sides of the fence, some say it's repetitive and gets old fast, others say it's a blast riding on the bike and killing humans and creatures.
I only know one friend who got it, he said he wanted to return it after 2 days.

When does the next Doom game come out? End of the year?
Excellent game.

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I am late to the party on this one, but God of War for PS4 is great.
So is PS4 Spiderman, just finished that one

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
God of War was amazing. I liked Spider-Man but it got repetitive to me after a while, still haven't finished it. I hope the new Star Wars game coming out next month lives up to the hype.

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I'm playing Just Cause 3 right now, it's mindless, doesn't require much thought or gameplanning, the storyline unchanged from previous years, but it's just good ol' fashioned arcade-style fun. Fly/grapple hook wherever you want, steal military shit, blow shit up, rinse and repeat.

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Tempted to pull the trigger on a PS4 pro today, my regular PS4 seems to be crapping out, lately it's been shutting down on it's own and now today it won't start up at all. Is it worth the upgrade to the pro?

Also hearing they are gonna make the announcement for GTA6 this winter, with a release date of fall next year, for the next-gen consoles. That would make me seriously consider waiting but if you can't wait, I'd probably look at buying a used console. Just make sure whoever you buy it from starts it up and everything works because I've heard stories about buying bricked consoles where some d-bag got his console banned from online and then selling it to some unaware person. |

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Got a deal I couldn’t refuse, had an Amazon gift card and points on my credit card to use so I got a new pro for $200. I know the PS5 is dropping next year but I figure I’ll be able to sell the pro and get a decent return on it. Oh and of course since I bought the pro my old PS4 has been working fine. Oh well I’ll just sell it lol

Was your ps4 a original ps4 from say the first year of production?

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
This why i usually wait a year to get a new console. Honestly new consoles right when they come out have such a limited game library.
Nothing deprecates faster then video games, i always try to stay a wave or two behind and enjoy the savings.

I may not upgrade right away but it will likely depend on GTA 6

It will be plugged in but when I hit any of the buttons it doesn't do anything, then I have to unplug the console and restart and it works fine. Doesn't happen often, but is annoying as shit when it does. Sure there are less titles at a launch, but they usually have a few that I play regularly, so it gets me by until the games start getting cranked out. I have always bought both consoles (xbox and ps) when they get released and have owned every nintendo console with exception of the Wii U. Next gen, I'm only buying a PS5. Especially since I have a pretty good gaming PC and you can get the XBox exclusives for PC now. And use an Xbox controller with the PC. |
