Edit: I hope this is true, the signing of Dez would stunt Doctson's growth on field
At this point Doctson needs to step up regardless of whoever else the Skins bring in. If his growth gets stunted by Bryant, or any other receiver then he was a bust pure and simple. Doctson was the 22nd overall, and Dez was the 24th, in their respective drafts.

Not once did the circle the drain after any of those moves.

If you compare Dez's output over the last 3 years, to Allen Hurns, they are very comparable. But Dez was being paid way more.

I think Dallas is positioning themselves to go after Calvin Ridley in the first round.
But if I woulda been saying Dez = Allen Hurns for the last 3 years I could only imagine the cowboys fans woulda said.

But imo, it’s the right move by cowboys...I only wish y’all woulda kept him.

Tony may have gotten you to the playoffs this past year...Dak overall was a disappointment.

Demarco Murray, nice player, but certainly not a superstar. He wasn’t gonna move the needle. Zeke much more talented. So Murray not really strong point in your argument.

I think your right about WR, but your gonna have to move up for Ridley. Maybe Sutton though...he’s not a bad prospect.

If we sign Bryant and not Hankins, I really won't understand the logic. I thought the Skins quietness in FA was an attempt at saving cap for next year, but if not, a 30 years old receiver is not my priority. We still have no LG and no proven NT.

I think we get both of those in the draft at this point. But it doesn't sound like the Skins are going to sign Bryant.

edit: I think there is no way that we don't pick Vea or Payne in the first round

That's what I think too.
I won't be mad if we don't sign anyone else and address our needs through the draft. But if we sign someone (to a significant contract) that is not Hankins or a proven G (or C and slide Roullier to LG), I won't get it.

Nether are the Giants and Philly is way over the cap so I doubt Dez will be in the NFC East.

It wouldn't be if he was an elite receiver, but he isn't. I would be super-pissed if the Redskins gave out this deal.

Dez reaction to his release is exactly why we should not want this overrated idiot in our locker room

Passer rating when throwing at Dez Bryant in 2017 was 74.8, and that could have been a LOT worse if Bryant hadn't actively broken up a bunch of INT-bound passes from Dak.

Stats from PFF

If you're willing to move to D.C. and babysit him, then I'd feel better about him coming here. I have female relatives in this area.

Would be a nice pickup. Miami previouslu signed him to a 4 year 18MM offer sheet which Denver matched. Not sure if Miami is still interested since they signed Gore, but that’s a pretty reasonable price in my opinion. Wouldn’t mind it if we made a run at him for a similar contract. It would be one less position of need to worry about drafting on rounds 1&2.
