Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
My girlfriend works at Target. So I'm waiting for the pre-order there so I can use her 15% off and she get's an additional 5% off.
I'd rather pay $330ish for the PS4 than over $400.

Still not as restrictive as the Xbox but not nearly as cut and dry as they tried to make it seem last night as they were only talking about the first party titles having no restrictions, but just like this generation the individual publishers can put the same restrictions that are on the Xbox. So pretty much the main distinction is the price(which may be deceiving as there are some reports the new move camera may be required for some features of the games and that's another $60) and the online once a day connection. I'm personally gonna wait until spring when all the truly next gen games come out and hopefully give them time to work out all the bugs and kinks or at least the major ones and I'll be buying both as I like the ability to play everything.

It gets worse and worse for Microsoft. Listen to this executive's answer to people without internet access. The arrogance and sheer stupidity. No dumbass, they'll just buy the PS4.

Those people are more than likely scalpers who want to try and turn a buck off of it.

Also, Microsoft is just making it easy for the Sony marketing team.

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I doubt Amazon's stock was 50 units or even just 500. Come on now.

Also keep in mind PS is golden for selling base models then by the time you start adding stuff too it the Xbox seems like the better deal.

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Most likely not, but I'm just pointing out that selling out doesn't really mean anything unless quantitative information is pointed out.

Didn't the Zune and Surface Pro also sell out immediately? Microsoft stuff always seems to be in so much demand it sells out 100% of its stock. Or the headline makes it looks like you need to buy it now or you won't be able to get it later. Don't think about it, weigh up your options and make an informed decision because you will miss out! Buy Now! You won't regret it because lots of people must have got it already! 100% is a big number. "Microsoft wouldn't say how many units that pre-order allocation is." I wonder why. It must be so many hundreds of thousands they don't want to embarrass anyone with their success. Please, If the number was significant they'd be screaming it from the rooftops. This is likely just another case of intentionally limited supply to make demand seem exaggerated, or did they have millions of units ready with "Day One 2013" printed on the controllers already?

I thought this info was useless just a few posts ago? Does comparing a $60 game to a $500 console really say much?
