During the post game press conference, Shanahan said something to the effect of his still learning how honest RGIII is when it comes to how he feels. Players will always say they can play, even when they cant. Once a coach works with a player for a while, they learn when the player truly can go and when he is just being tough and trying not to let his teammates down. Shanahan admitted to the fact that he would second guess some of the decisions he made. I'm pretty sure that Shanahan won't take Griffin's words at face value anymore.

Another role played in all of this is young Robert's fearlessness. I think that's a chink in his armor, a flaw - I think he's fearless to a fault. Now the coach knows that.

I don't think it happens again, either.

And if I'm reading between the lines correctly of the things Robert himself has been saying since Sunday on Facebook, I think he is kicking himself, too, and maybe he's wizened up about that.
