Alcohol and NFL players health

For players, Friday is the most dangerous night in the NFL - NFL.com

I was really shocked by this article, it seems it's a usual thing for nfl player to get drunk on friday nights... this mean 12 hours (at best) before gameday they still have alcohol in their blood, this affects your body, no wonder why there is so many injuries!

I mean in rugby (where there is far less money than in football) players are basically forbidden to drink one single beer or eat ice cream for the whole season (which is from september to june), I really have a hard time believing that in a sport where everything is analysed, every stat, every angle of the game etc... nobody is telling the players not to drink!
It takes time for your body, your muscles etc... to get fully recover from a hangover, even if you have the feeling you're fine the day after.
