The actual coaching is more of a secondary issue than a primary one. It is an issue though. The decisions to move Niles Paul and play Tyler Polumbus will not make the hall of fame. Not to mention the questionable decisions that havent completely stunk, like going with Will Montgomery at center another year.
Alfred Morris has fixed a huge Torain-sized hole at RB, but I'm not sure what Royster has to do in order to earn playing time.
The primary issue is that what we've built is a bad team with a transcendental talent at quarterback. And he's almost single handedly beating teams on Sunday, despite being handcuffed in the passing game quite a bit (not without good reason, see: Polumbus, Tyler).
