Redskins sign free safety
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2066672
the redskins signed free safety cory hall, who previously played for the falcons. i think this move has something to do with sean taylor holding out, i think they are preparing for the worst if he doesn't attend any practices or minicamps. Washington Redskins: Former Falcons free safety Cory Hall agreed Monday to a one-year deal with the Redskins. He will sign for $565,000. Hall was considered one of the top free-agent safeties in the past couple of years, but things didn't work out in Atlanta; he was released by the Falcons after two seasons. Though he was on the Cowboys' short list, Hall didn't want to wait for an offer from Dallas. The 28-year-old Hall was a third-round draft choice of the Bengals in 1999 and played four seasons for Cincinnati, starting his final two years. The 6-foot, 213-pound Hall played his college ball at Fresno State. The Redskins have good depth at the safety position with Sean Taylor, Matt Bowen and Pierson Prioleau.
