Re: Week 7: Redskins vs. Bears Gameday thread
DeAngelo Hall etches name in record book, next to 18 others
Posted by Mike Florio on October 24, 2010 4:15 PM ET With four interceptions of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, and at least two celebration penalties for going to the ground that weren't called, Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall has tied the all-time single-game record. Hall joins 18 guys on a list that started in 1943 with Sammy Baugh, also of the Redskins. Most recently (nine years ago), Deltha O'Neal picked off four while playing for Redskins coach Mike Shanahan in Denver. The interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, helped send the Redskins to a 17-14 win over the Bears, which has dropped them to 4-3. Chicago's loss -- their second in a row at home after a 4-1 start -- means that the winner of tonight's Vikings-Packers game (on NBC) will have a clear path to taking control of the NFC North.
