Considering your screen name, I'm assuming some sarcasm here?
After just reading a little about him & seeing him constantly listed on Kiper's "best available" during the draft, I thought Meredith made a lot more sense than an inside LB project who'd only played a year at LB & would've likely been available later.

Another year where they apparently stuck to the board, for better or worse.
