how F'd up is this?

I'm in the process of selling my house and we had 4 showings last week. Tonight I go to pop in Call of Duty 4 in my 360, and it's not in the case. I'm like ok, I probably stuck it in another game case. So I check all the game cases and no COD4. So now I'm confused. I check all around the TV and stand and it's still nowhere to be seen. I normally keep my games in the cases all in one spot on my shelf, so losing games just doesn't happen for me. I know it's gone, and I know it must have been someone that's seen my house in the last few days. I'm really at a loss for words right now.
