I Want You: Random Fantasy Backup Draft...Thing

I've been thinking about doing a thread like this for a while so at least it's not on a whim. So with that said I will now explain the premise. We have plenty of reliable backup players and depth guys on our teams that many outside of Washington have never heard of (or in some cases forgot about). Guys like Kedric Gholston, HB Blades, Demetric Evans, Lorenzo Alexander, Jason Fabini, and Stephon Heyer are among the 'randoms' we appreciate.

The purpose of this thead is to propose which non-elite/solid starter/quality backup from another team would you suggest for the Redskins given the current situation of our roster for the purpose of adding depth. This has nothing to do with the availability of suggested players and is not an opportunity to lobby for a trade or free agent signing.

You can choose guys from any position all over the leauge so long as they are not elite pro bowl types. So don't go "holy crap Adrian Wilson would be the perfect safety" because at that point you're missing the purpose of the thread.

Also:

- You also can't go for guys that are on the cusp of being pro bowl players such as Buffalo's Paul Posluzney or Baltimore's Ben Grubbs.

- Wes Welker types don't count either.

- In other words they can't be a well known name and in fact, for all you madden heads, their rating would probably range from the 70's to the low 80's.

- No rookies drafted before the 7th round either

So with that said I'll go ahead and suggest Corey Chaovous. Not only is he smart but he has the ability to play both safety spots as well as corner. Two positions that the Redskins are having trouble with at the moment. He would also be able to mentor the younger guys especially those who need it (namely Tryon) and would give the Redskins a lot of flexibility in the secondary.
