I doubt that.True question is whos OL well step up.Cause i can easily say we can shut down Parker if we wanted to but than again that OL wasn't healthy, while ours wasn't either. _________________ Quote: Not only is Betts way below Brown in talent, Portis lately hasn't been as good as Brown last year -Dolfan4life822 wrote: Back to top View user's profile Send private message bbelan2343 Joined: 09 Sep 2007 Posts: 414 PostPosted: Sat May 10, 2008 1:57 am Post subject: Reply with quote I'd say that it's too early to make predictions. But's it's probably better to look at individual match ups and player responsibilities. I'll say a good one to watch is Troy Polamalu in the box just about the entire game. Our D not afraid of leaving alot on Campbell's shoulder to move the ball and score. Troy / Timmons = matched up with Cooley in coverage. With Troy roaming in the box, I'll always like our chances on pressuring the QB and preventing a consistent running game. Any other match ups anyone's looking at? _________________ LBJ for president.. GO CAVS!!! Hey I really like Portis, I think he's a really quality football player, but if we can shut down LT, which we've shown we're more than capable of, we can shut down Portis. Especially if Campbell can't get it done in the air. We'll see though, both teams definitely still have a large number of question marks. Not saying that means they can't beat the steelers, I just don't think they'll be as good as last year. Teams live on emotion, and there was more than enough there to carry the team last year. I actually do like a lot of the players, and have loved Jason Campbell for a while....I really like Auburn. I'd like to see him succeed this year. However, Campbell will not be where he needs to be against the steelers, I do not believe. The secondary is too good, and he is not advanced enough yet that he'll be able to get 8 out of the box. The young receivers will help quite a bit, but its not like he hasn't had weapons in the years past. Cooley, ARE, Moss, Lloyd. That is a decent corps, not great by any means, but veterans. Now it turns into three rookies which one of them will probably be an impact player. That being said, I think it can be close, but I just think the redskins D is gonna be hurting a little bit this year, and the offense hasn't taken enough strides to make up for it. Im also expecting a step back from them _________________ Back to top View user's profile Send private message BlitzburghXL Joined: 14 Feb 2006 Posts: 533 PostPosted: Sat May 10, 2008 8:31 pm Post subject: Reply with quote maybe the redskins need to work on winning their division first...I live in D.C. (for 20 years) and can't still come to like the redskins....horrible organization. Must say, I do like the hire of Coach Zorn instead of hiring the incompetent defensive coordinators you guys had. _________________ Back to top View user's profile Send private message bernal Joined: 24 Apr 2008 Posts: 146 PostPosted: Sun May 11, 2008 12:36 am Post subject: Re: Washington Redskins vs Pits Steelers(MNF) Hype!!!!!! Reply with quote [quote="smoot27"] I know you guys drafted Limas wich should be a big upgrade. While Redskins got 3 new young rookies such as Devin Thomas-Malcom Kelly-Fred Davis .While we still have no other DE we still have a good solid run stopping D.Have a new coach and are working on the excited WCO .,,,,,,,You'd just better be thankful the game is on a Monday NIGHT!.....otherwise your " Prised " new rookie TE would probably sleep in, and miss the game Smile Only way your Jr league team beats us is if your owner buys off the Refs. Just like he tries to buy everything else Smile Back to top View user's profile Send private message SG3 Joined: 30 Dec 2007 Posts: 1585 Location: Florida PostPosted: Sun May 11, 2008 11:59 am Post subject: Reply with quote We've got a thread trying to hype a Redskins game? No thanks. I'll stick with the Cowboys, Pats, Colts, Chargers, Jaguars. _________________ All i gotta say is.They in reality were 11-5.Healthier than what their BS excuse is.But really now......11-5 in probably the easiest top 3 schedules you can get while our schduele for the 10 straight year was the top 3 toughest. All i gotta say about this ....that Steelers fans are 10 X stupider than what i thought. And well show them a worm welcome back in Washington. |
