ugh, i hate to say it, but i'd sooner question the playcalling at this point then Portis's heart. whats the lightest back Gibbs has ever used significantly anyway?

Joe Washington, but he wasen't used up the middle we used him on screen's, pitch's, and passes, he wasen't a gut you send up the middle very often, ricky ervin's was also a small guy, but he was very stocky for his size, I don't believe that Portis is not giving everything he has, he is, he just keep's hitting a wall, he's not that kind of back, granted the blocking could defiently be better, no doubt, but Portis is not an inside runner, the counter trey is a good play for Portis, but we haven't been able to get it going, Denver's blocking scheme is a cut back running attack, and that's what Portis need's, he need's to follow his block's down the line and then cut when the hole emerges, Portis's strength lies with his ability to cut, and explode through a hole, we can send him straight ahead, but not on a regular basis, we spent to much money on him, if we have to change the blocking scheme to make him productive again, then it's something that HAS to be done, but I am sure that won't happen until the coaches are sure it's the scheme, and not the player's still learning the scheme.
