If we are drafting for long term plans then I can understand the idea of drafting a rookie QB such as Richardson, but Rivera isn’t in the position to do that. He has to prove himself to the new owner, especially when he had mediocre seasons in the last 3 years. The only FA QB I would start over Howell is Garoppolo. If we can sign him then great, we have a new starter. If we could trade for Rodgers, then we have a new QB (I don’t like this idea but I can see Rivera going for it). If not one of those twos, it’s Howell. There is no other better option. Simple as that. |
