Here is some good insight to the Giants game.
****BEST BET
*Washington over New York Giants by 21 The Giants clinch the NFC East with a win here, but we don’t see it happening. The Giants don’t play well on the road.Their only victories that didn’t occur in Giants Stadium have come against the woeful 49ers and decimated Eagles in overtime three weeks ago. Eli Manning has been wild throwing 11 interceptions the last six games. He’s hasn’t been nearly as accurate with his throws as he was earlier in the season. Washington’s defense, under ace coordinator Gregg Williams, has been outstanding. The Redskins have allowed just 29 points the past three games against the Rams, Cardinals and Cowboys, an average of 9.6 points. The Redskins have come up with 12 sacks in those three games. The Giants’ offensive line is banged up and they also have injuries at linebacker. Antonio Pierce, the heart of New York’s defense, most likely will miss the game because of a high ankle sprain that kept him out last week. This makes the Giants vulnerable to the Redskins ground attack of Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts, while making QB Mark Brunell more effective with play-action.The Giants can still lose and win the division. The Redskins don’t have that luxury. They must win.The Redskins were humiliated by the Giants, 36-0, in Week 8. That was the Wellington Mara game, where the Giants dedicated the game to their long-time owner who passed away that week. The Giants were sky-high for that matchup. New York doesn’t have that extra motivation going this time. It was the only time Washington was out of a game. The Redskins are the last team to defeat the Seahawks. They have lost close games to quality opponents, including losing by one point to Tampa Bay, by two to Denver and three in overtime to San Diego.WASHINGTON 31-10. |
