The argument for Vick is that the team is nothing without him and how he does so much with so little to work with. So if that's the reason why he was chosen over someone (Brunell) who statistically is having a much better reason and, unlike Vick, has his team in the playoffs right now then why do Dunn (over Portis) and Crumpler (over Cooley) get Pro Bowl nods as well?
