Jason Campbell

Here's my personal assessment of negatives and positives from Campbell against the Ravens (I didn't see the six minutes or so of the 4th quarter):

Positives: Nice touch and good arm strength on the touchdown pass. Very accurate on medium routes. Has the strength and mobility to get away from a pass rush and run for yards.

Negatives: He spent too much time watching his primary targets and waiting for plays to develop. Must show better overall awareness and ability to read defenses. Needs to be more decisive as a passer. Must continue to work out the rookie jitters.

Overall opinion: Campbell has excellent potential but he will need reps and experience before he can expect to be ready. I expect he could be ready sometime the middle of next season.
