We have to have 53 men on the team, and only 22 of them are starters. so far, were filling the 31 backup positions. When the market settles, we will sign a few good, quality players to reasonable contracts. We won't overspend, like the cards did on Lorenzo Alexander. They gave 3MM a year to a special teamer. That's stupid. The first few days of free agency, almost every team OVERpays for certain players. Right now, the market is literally flooded with comparable quality CBs. Why overspend on one now when we can wait a week or two when the market settles, and get one of comparable talent for half the price?

"The skins can still free up about 14MM in restructures", sounds like an assumption to me. If you're so informed, why didn't you warn the Skins FO of pushing contract money into the uncapped year? They "foolishly believed" they would get away with that and now look at this mess. This appears to be more desperation than strategy. If what you say is true the newly signed backups could've/should've been had when "the market settles,... for half the price". No?
