I think he's improved that part of his game since 2008 to the point where the Redskins can usually get a body on every player that comes between the tackles (the extent of the Center's responsibility), but I don't think it's THAT difficult a skill. I mean, freakin' Will Montgomery did the job flawlessly in relief of Rabach last season. And he had to get the call out early enough for Heyer to figure out what the hell to do.

Agreed.. and honestly I don't think anyone would be beating down Heyer's door to get him on their team, but in duty at guard last year he showed some promise. Keep him around in the competition for guard mix and you can slide him to tackle if injuries insist upon it. He's the new Artis Hicks, but younger.
