Re: The Vick Factor
I definitely didn't want to start a new thread on this but while we're on the topic of Vick I've come to realize that Reggie Bush is the new Vick (i.e. Vick before the legal troubles). A dynamic talented player that doesn't have the impact on the field that his high draft status and hype would suggest. Plus when you have a fleet of apologist saying stuff like "you don't understand his impact on the game" "he's not a traditional running back!". It's then that you know you've arrived in Vick territory.
I'm sorry but 1,500 rushing yards in three years is unacceptable for a back to be praised in the same manner that some have chosen to praise Bush. Especially when the guy was averaging over 1,700 rushing yards with 8.7 yards per carry your senior year of college. Sure he's a very good punt returner and receiver out of the back field but even with that you see his impact to be inconsistent. Maybe one day he'll have a Brian Westbrook type turnaround but for now he's this era's Michael Vick. *End Rant* Anyway heres the article that brought thsi on. Maybe Bush's time finally has come - NFC South - ESPN
