There is no question that the offense was awful yesterday - even AFTER Patrick Ramsey entered the game.
However, the defense gave the Bengals 17 points and 226 yards in the first half of the game. I don't care how inept the Skins' offense was yesterday; that cannot be called a stalwart defensive performance. Why did Ramsey enter the game with a deficit on the scoreboard? It's because the defense allowed Carson "Bleeping" Palmer to march down the file on them and score touchdowns. I doubt that Mark Brunell was put onto the defensive unit in disguise so you can't blame him for that. The defense dug the hole and the team couldn't get out of it.
