3:10 to Jordy-ville!
Hop on the 3:10to Jordy-Ville, cuz that's where its a stoppin!
Jordy Nelson is not going to make it past Minnesota at #74, which is the 3rd round - 10th pick, and we pick at #85. Unless we trade up (which we won't do because we lose draft picks, and I have been saying that we need to keep all of them for the longest) or pick Nelson late in the 2nd round, our chances for drafting one of the more blatantly hidden talents in the draft will be slim. Jordy is to being a Redskins Core Player, as Neo is to being The One! Jordy is a Redskin Core Player, he just doesn't know it yet. He has all the intangibles that we all know Joe Gibbs would have loved. He is 6'2" 217lbs wide out with a 4.49 40-yard dash, a good work ethic, instincts as a route runner, great hands, great athleticism, special team skills, and, to top it all off, he is a high character Associated Press All-American who would be an absolute steal in the 2nd round to us. Furthermore, his game tape backs all of that up! I think it will be interesting to see where he goes, but I don't really wanna see him elsewhere. We can address our need for a good WR early, while still not committing a 1st round pick to the WR spot(which we all know is dangerous). Likely here, at this position, we could take Branden Albert, if Cromartie isn't still there, in the 1st round and Jordy in the 2nd round. I would not be mad at Cromartie/Nelson or Albert/Nelson ticket after the first day. What do you all think? Too early for Jordy in the 2nd round? Right on time. maybe? Or do we hit the pipe, play madden, and then draft a WR in the first? Thoughts?
