So, I found this interesting, but not about winning or losing, and/or hypocrisy, so I figured I would dredge this thread up again:
The article that goes with it is fairly unremarkable, but what I found interesting is that Trump's approval ratings at this point in his presidency line up fairly evenly with non-wartime (non-JFK) presidencies LBJ and Obama - 46 Carter & Reagan - 42 Trump - 41 Clinton - 39 I think Nixon/Ford also are their own creature given the whole Vietnam/Resignation etc. The article tried to tie some House seat effect to the president's approval ratings, but for my eyes, it generally disproves that Obama's 46 was middle high and he lost the most seats for approvals in the 40's the range was from -15 to -63. With the Republicans only having a 20'ish seat margin, historically it's unimaginable that they will keep the House. If they do, it would be a testimony to the Democrats incompetence as much as the state of the Economy |
