Re: Skins vs Seasquawks Positive and Negatives
I understand what you're saying. I just don't believe that Williams' and Garcon's not acting as if they are at a funeral is important.
They are pros and can compartmentalize. I absolutely love the example Trent Williams set for the younger players to follow. Please consider the following: 1. He was questionable for the game with a dislocated knee cap. 2. He was going up against the best defense and arguably the best past rush. 3. Everybody on that team has seen the dire consequences of a player gutting a game out on a wobbly knee against Seattle. 4. Nobody, absolutely nobody would have questioned him if he said he couldn't play. 5 He came out and balled. He gave 100% on a bum knee in a game where we weren't supposed to have a chance to win. 6. He fought tooth and nail even in the fourth quarter when we had little to no chance to mount a comeback. 7. If losing respectably to a great team as a huge underdog was ok, acceptable, par, expected, he wouldn't have been battling like he was when we had no real chance to win. I don't care if he sang happy birthday Mr president to Snyder in the locker room after the game. Trent Williams on Monday night is THE example our young players should follow.
