I love the sentence in this article that says, "Redskins owner Dan Snyder has vowed not to change the name but is facing unprecedented opposition from those who consider it a racial slur."
What it should have said is that Snyder is facing unprececedented opposition from the "smallest of minorities of people in the country" who consider it a racial slur. But "unprececedented opposition" sounds more powerful.
The propaganda on this just continues to be amazing to me.

i would consider that letter signed by a bunch of US Senators to be fairly significant and unprecedented.
throw in the tv ad during the nba finals .....
the federal court cancelling the redskins trademark on a finding that it is derogatory is kinda a big deal to imo
maybe im just nitpicking or having a selective memory .. but i dont think that one sentence from the journalist was unsupported or unfounded.
ps - i just dont give a sh%t about this issue anymore. if it changes - fine. if it doesnt - even better. i do find myself annoyed at anyone beating the war drum at either end of the spectrum. just an exercise in futility.
