That's god awful.
Seab*tches are crying about it like they lost the f*cking game. Ugh.

That's up to the taxpayers and alumni in Alabama.

There's a video in that article that Michael Robinson (Seahawks FB) took, that shows the field pre-game. In case you couldn't tell from the tv broadcast, this video confirms how atrocious it looks. It looks like a patchy grass/dirt field from an abandoned lot or something lol. Absolutely no way it doesn't get fixed by next year.
Personally I think he took the video to have as something to blame if they lost the game.

I have to agree with this. And there is just something about Pete Carroll that I DON'T like in the least.

Aside from the obvious Rex Ryan, Carroll is the least professional coach in the league. He acts like a college KID at games, forget like a college coach.

He actually reminds me a lot of Jim Zorn in the way he carries himself and behaves, but with a Twitter account too.

I don't think he'll ever see long-term success in the pros. He's on his third chance after two failures. Maybe he'll find his way back to college but after the way he demolished USC with violations and bolted to escape the punishments, who would want him?

I kinda like the guy and he's done a nice job at Seattle. They've already made the playoffs twice and won 2 post season games. He's not like a lot of the other NFL coaches and it's nice to see a guy that's a little different.

Re: Field Condition

OK, I hear you all about they are crying or whatever. But this doesn't change the fact that this field is embarrassing. If we had our stuff straight, wouldn't give them anything to photo or video. Considering the RG3 play right before the 2nd TD where it looks like he first tweaked the knee, he was untouched. i think this field could easily have contributed. SAD SAD SAD. You would think Danny, a marketing guy who can control what Doc Andrews does and doesn't say, would take more pride in the field that is splashed all over TV. I'm just sayin...

To be honest he was only given one year on the Jets and after making the playoffs in his first two years, his third year at NE he went 8-8 and got fired.

Both him and Schneider know how to scout talent extremely well, he will also go with what he thinks is the right call no matter what the media or other people think. Went with Wilson when the team just signed Flynn, he has guts which is admirable in coaching these days. I think he can have long term success. He is also a great leader and always has his team believing they can win no matter the odds.

I haven't followed his Twitter, but he does stuff during the game, which to me, just would seem to rub opposing coaches the wrong way. I think it was a fake punt after they were up by like 30 points in one of their other games, and even going for it on fourth and one in our game, after our game was pretty much done. And then wanting to whine and cry about the fields (whether justified or not) afterwards...I just don't like Pete Carroll at all. I think he's going to get major payback very soon.

Your exactly right with several points here. Nice post. Sad and embarrassing is right.

I don't believe anybody is trying to deny the facts about the field conditions.

I'll have to say my experience is much better coming home after a win.

Re: Field Condition

I don't recall having these bad field conditions in the past. With a natural turf sometimes it just happens. Might not have had time to put down new turf and even if you get down new sod if it rains sod can be even worse then what they had.

I'm with you. I like Carrolls attitude/demeanor and find it refreshing. He's done a great job in Seattle... better than the job Shanahan's done here, in fact. Thats not a jab at Shanahan, but a compliment to Carroll.

Regarding the Monkey's comment that Carroll failed twice before, lots of coaches, including probably the greatest coach of all time, Bill Belichek, "fail" one or more times before they get in the right situation to have success.
