Yes, against the Niners, I think it was. Not what they were. Certainly not a defending SB champion team.

I think there are a few fans on both teams that would swap, I think both qbs went to the best team for them, so I wouldn't change a thing.

I remember that. I think it was some scenario where we would get draft picks and/or a player too. There's a lot of good QB's out there. More good young QB's than there has been in a long time. But there is only one RG3. And nobody....NOBODY but him that possesses the extrordinary set of skills to the degree he has and I wouldn't trade him for anyone.

Yeah, my point was no Redskins fan would do a straight up swap. But I would bet that at least a few Colts fans would. The earlier exchange on this site was Luck plus the picks we gave up to get RGIII. Different animal.

BTW, we ought to start a petition that requires RGIII to be bubble wrapped, given a security detail, and locked away in Ft. Knox during the off-season. Honestly, every week I think to myself, "I cannot believe that this guy is our QB. He's too good to be true." Then again, with all the suffering the last two decades, the Football Gods owed us.

As much as I love RGIII, I also love Luck. Many of you are under estimating him because of the # of INT's and not being the athlete that RGIII is. The man is also a winner, trust me he's just as good but in a different kind of way. I would have been happy with either one.

I agree, but we all like our guy more. Still need too see a lot more from both of them. Luck also had two ints dropped by the Lions. It's not like you honestly say either are top five.

I've said he would be the only QB I would consider on a 1 for 1 trade for RGIII, but I would be hard pressed to make that trade. I still think that Luck may end up with a longer career than RGII. Note, I'm not saying I think he'll have a better career, just a longer one.

Luck doesn't have the luxury of having Alfred Morris to take the pressure of him. Would RGII be having the type of success he's having without any run game? Who knows. My guess is probably not because the run game alone has set up the PA ability that makes this offense go. The Colts offense depends much more on Luck to shoulder the burden as you can tell in the disparities in attempts. RGIII has 325 attempts to Luck's 503.

But part of griffins game is his playaction and run. not demeaning morris but I believe he benefits from griffins ability. and if griffin were on the colts they would still probably not throw as much. that's just a difference in their games, I don't see why that plays into the discussion.

Many forget the forgettable Colts of last year are now 8-4 and in the playoff hunt after only one year. That being said I would slap anyone in the face with a wet mackerel before I let them trade our QB for "Suckie Luckie". ;-)

At the time of the draft I would have prefered Luck. I fully expect him to have a great career. But after seeing RG3 as a pro, the way he handles big games with such a calm, cool demeaner, the problems he causes defenses to gameplan for him because of his speed, armstrength and accuracy, I just think he is more difficult to stop. They both have great arms and Luck is a great athlete in his own right. But Griffen is much more difficult to defend because he uses all of his talents, including world class speed, much more often than Luck who primarily is used as a pocket passer as compared to Griffen who you don't know what to expect more often than not. He excells at mostly everything he does and uses all of his skills on a regular basis which makes him much harder to read. They both should have great careers I just think Griffen brings an overall talent level and new dimension to the QB position never before seen in the NFL.

Re: Where does RGIII rank?

If I look back on any draft and the subsequent first year play of ..........any rookie qb, I cannot think of anyone that has impressed more than Robert
