Re: Around the NFL Week 9

I see why the Patriots cut that DB.

Aqib Talib traded to New England Patriots by Tampa Bay Buccaneers - ESPN Boston

Quote:
The New England Patriots moved to bolster their porous secondary, acquiring cornerback Aqib Talib, who has one game remaining on a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

The Buccaneers announced the trade, completed before Thursday's 4 p.m. deadline, but didn't say what they are receiving in return.

Talib is in the final season of his contract.

The fifth-year pro said in a statement released by the Buccaneers earlier this month that he took an Adderall pill without a prescription "around the beginning of training camp."

Talib was the 20th overall pick in the 2008 draft and was one of Tampa Bay's top defenders with 18 career interceptions.

Talib's current suspension is his second of his NFL career.

The 26-year-old was suspended without pay for the 2010 regular-season opener and also fined one additional game check for violating the NFL's personal-conduct policy. That discipline stemmed from an altercation with a St. Petersburg cab driver during training camp in August 2009.

Re: Around the NFL Week 9

New England moves as of late have been absolute shit. Chad Johnson, Albert Haynesworth

Talib, at least through the first 5 games, had been in bottom 5 cornerback on yards against. Maybe he had played better since, but he was terrible to start the season.

Yep just saw it. Heard it as "breaking news" while replying to Chico so I threw it in there. My bad.

So Moore cleared waivers and will likely return to the Pats' practice squad

Tonight is going to be an uggggggggllllly game. They should make it fun. Make it like one of those backyard games where you trade players midway through the game

Every TNF game has been garbage . NFL network struggles with their games

The theme song is the worst ever.

I do like Mike Mayock though, and the crew with Rich Eisen are always good.

Will Danny be flown over by Spanos and given the chance to fire him again? This time during halftime.

Re: Around the NFL Week 9

I think the TNF folks should have a running graphic on both coaches, showing the likelihood of them being fired after the game. Make it go up or down for every good/bad play.
