I'm really having fun with this game so far. The race for the Heisman mode is cool but I'm sticking with the dynasty mode for now, I'm more interested in doing all the offseason stuff.

I really like the improvements to the game, hopefully Madden will be just as good.

Re: NCAA '06 Review

i got it on saturday...buddy and i played several games. had to chance the controller settings to last year's version because both of us were used to the old controls...

it's pretty good...i haven't jumped into any of the dynasty settings or the race mode yet, but soon enough.

It took a few games to get used to the new controls but now I really like them, especially having the juke on the right analog stick. I have a feeling Madden will have new controls as well so I figured might as well get used to them now.

What I love about this game is the way that field position actually matters. The game has a slower smashmouth atmosphere that feels not just more like college football, but like football period. Oh yeah, and the computer runs on you. I had Wisconsin's Booker Stanley drop 200 on me.

I still think the passing game does not quite feel right, but everything else is pretty perfect.

Re: NCAA '06 Review

last Thursday, started the Heisman mode. got a scholarship as a MLB at Bowling Green, beat Wisconsin 49-45, where Stanley dropped almost 2 bills on me as well, but I threw for over 400 and 5 TDs, and tailback had over 120 and 2 TDs. as a MLB, no tackles, no assists, no nothing. I should have created a DT or DE.

i flipped back to 05 controller settings...but i may just grin and bear it and go back to default.
