Anyways, here's the disaster that Nike created for them. I'm now very thankful for the NFL's strict uniform code.
The Terps made a big hoopla about their uniforms in the offseason. Now, a wasted/terrible/horrible season later they look foolish for having done so. Come to think of it, it was pretty foolish when they did it then.

Didn't know if any of you saw this....

Washington Redskins Uniforms: New Nike Design Could Address Indian Head Logo

Quote:
The Redskins' new look could begin as early as Tuesday.
If I'm not mistaken I read that it could be as early as 11:00 am that the new Uni's could be presented to the public. Here was WTOP's article....

Redskins 'new' uniforms to lessen controversy (PHOTOS) - WTOP.com

Quote:
The proposal for a new Redskins design moves away from the "Indian head" logo that first graced the helmet in 1972, and has since caused significant controversy from American Indian advocates. The players will bear throwback stripes on their biceps and calves, with plain white pants and a chief's feather headdress design on their helmets and over their shoulder pads.
I'm not sure if they are just refering to the pictured uni or if they got some inside info about what our new uni would look like and they are showing this picture which really does not flow with what they are saying. The helmet yes but not the jersey.

One article was the bleacher report. The other quoted it. The bleacher report.

The.
Bleacher.
Report.

You should not pay any attention to Anything you read on that site or that quotes the site. It's "columnists" have no sources. They just look for the dumbest speculation and crap they can find on extremeskins and turn it in to an "article"

Yeah, another bogus report based on those mock designs that have been floating around for a year or so. Nothing to see here.

Besides, the Skins current logo is on some of the new Nike merch already being sold, so I doubt any change is coming this year.

I guess your right. We shouldn't listen to the Bleacher Report... I mean I guess they do just make stuff up.

The article is inconsistent. The caption under the picture gives the reader the impression those are the uniforms, the actual article does say that it's possibly fake.

You miss the point. Bleacherreport is nothing but OPINIONS AND SPECULATION. There is no REPORTING on the site, as no on there has SOURCES.

The bleacher report is often deliberately misleading and they post wild rumors as fact to increase site hits to get advertising revenue.

If I remember correctly, Larry Michael had already seen the new uniforms and mentioned that there wouldn't be any significant changes.

I'm not a big fan of BR either, but's only fair to point out that they have changed up their business model:

Quote:
From Wiki

Although the network still announces the goal of providing an "empowering opportunity for every contributor hoping to establish his or her voice" in the sports blogosphere, [29] Bleacher Report addressed the concerns of its critics by making substantive reforms to its editorial and personnel policies in 2010. These reforms were aimed chiefly at the mechanics of B/R's Writer Program, with an emphasis on enhancing quality and credibility by…
  • Initiating a formal application process for all prospective writers, wherein only the top 20 percent of candidates earn the right to publish on the site[30][31]
  • Introducing comprehensive educational resources for new and veteran writers, including the "B/R U" new-media training program[32]
  • Establishing a paid team of high-profile Lead Writers to headline the network's sport-specific writer communities[33]
These reforms, along with the continued growth of B/R's audience, prompted Forbes.com to single out Bleacher Report as a company "doing it right" in August 2011.[34] B/R was also named one of Time magazine's "50 Best Websites of 2011,"[35] and was picked by Adweek readers as 2011's "Best Sports Media Brand."[36]

Yeah, I mean BR is a major competitor and they certainly do a lot of questionable things. But they have some serious guys running things now and they're taking strides to move in the right direction. They still have some pretty crappy writers (some who are members of this board), and some pretty strong ones as well (again, some who are members of this board)

and yes there was an article that there would be no major changes.

I just hope the uni has some changes but keeps some of it's heritage.
IMO all those designs are shit, just some asshole playing with photoshop.
