I don't think he knows exactly what he's going to do at this very moment. I can imagine everything's like a fog right now. That was a very emotional presser.

But that's not to say he won't get second thoughts. I'm not saying he would retire and then come back. But think about he just spent 14 years with the same team and maybe he'd like to go out as a Colt.

Not trashing his accomplishments, simply advocating that the skins actually use the draft and college free agents to build a winner. He actually was rejected that is why he isn't in Indy anymore.

lol I mean, I personally don't think he's going to retire either. But just thinking on what 12th said since he thinks it's a possibility.

Seems to me like any team that wants him would want to have him signed by the start of FA, or atleast a confident expectation of how his number will affect their cap status. And from PM's point of view, I think he will want his new team to be getting the pieces in place from start of FA. So it seems to me like this deal should be one that gets done before next Tuesday.

Against that, PM said he hasn't looked that way yet (which I truly doubt), and if that's the case, I am sure he is going to do a lot of diligent research to make sure he goes to the situation he wants.

I think cap limitations, and a new start, is a long way from rejecting PM. Sometimes situations just don't allow for the most preferred choice to occur.

But that's just semantics

Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)

It's incredible ..

The redskins may have a chance at signing one of the best QBs of all time and whom can still play at a playoff caliber level I'm assuming and we as fans say No to him??? It's Peyton Freaking Manning! This isn't Mcnabb or Brunell or Johnson its Manning. He comes to DC and we are a contender in the east day 1
