4A- coach? whom? I thought all his immediate coaches have signed elswhere?
5-your probably correct but he did say he'd take a contract that was incentive based. But with demand from several teams will prbably bring about a nice paycheck with guarentee's.
When i was typing those things out i was thinking to myself that the Redskins fit the bill on all of them.

Number 1 is debatable though, as both Shanahans seem to be micro managing control freaks and McNabb was forced to do some things he didnt want to. When people debate Manning vs Brady the biggest argument for Manning is his always his "intangibles" or coach on the field stuff. If he isnt giving the absolute freedom to do things exactly how he wants to hes just a 36 year old QB on a new team.

I dont think anyone would be stupid enough to try to get Manning to do things any differently then he has in the past. Thats part of why i like the idea of Manning; Kyle would instantly become Peyton's assistant.

I have no idea who would be the coach if any. But as good as Manning is im pretty sure he has had a really good support system around him, probably one he helped develop. It may have been needed less in the later years but you got to get everyone in sync and on the same page.

When he goes to another team and has to teach everyone how to do things his way, build chemistry w the offense, recover and go through growing pains after being out a year i think he will be smart enough to bring over a few authority figures to implement his system his way. Not sure if anyone would get replaced, maybe personal guys or assistant type guys. Maybe just FA vet camp bodies.

re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)

Before, when Peyton's arm looked like it was a noodle, I did not want the Skins to pursue him.

Looks like he's back to normal now, so I expect the Skins to make a run at him with RG3 as the backup plan. I think I'd rather have RG3 because of the longer-term value but I think the team will try to get Manning. If they do get him, I'll still be thrilled, we have not had a real QB since Mark Rypien 20 years ago.

In the end, I think he'll go to Miami or Arizona to play in a warmer place for his neck and possibly extending his career a year or two. There are no other dome teams really in the mix so I think climate will play a role in his decision.

Rex Ryan will ensure the Jets and their dysfunctional team are out.

Seattle's rain and cold, plus lack of talent outside Lynch and Rice will eliminate them.

I think it's between the Phins and Cards with the Skins' offer being the wild card.

Yeah I agree I think those 3 teams are the front runners but again Miami just installed a new system and Matt Flynn makes sense

VERY busy. End of year/tax time was killer this year (accountant).

Also, have a new baby girl (6 months old now), had nose surgery from a gym accident, family got t-boned by a drunk driver (all OK, car totaled), installing wood flooring throughout my house and overall just being a headless chicken.

Thanks for asking. Good to be back, even for a minute.

HAD to log on today to see how you guys feel about Peyton Manning and the Gregg Williams thing.

edit: just checked...you guys have not had to endure one of my posts since 10/24/11!

100% agree, but McNabb would have worked out had he atleast remembered the play calls and if he would wear a wrist band but he didn't then it might have worked out. But I think it had just as much to do with him not hitting his WR's.

I think PM will do better to remember the plays and would probably do whatever it took to make the team better.
