Working 12-4, then hitting the gym for a light workout until it closes at 6, make some dinner, then catch GB-Hotlanta.

Sounds like a pretty good day planned.

Doing some bicycling, weight lifting, cleaning house and watching football.

Re: Redskins Bye Week

Did not want to create a new thread for these two thoughts and did not really see anywhere else to post these, one is appropriate for this thread and one if off topic.

1) Though I hate week 4 bye weeks it actually worked out very well for us. First we did not play and gained sole possession of first place (without tie breakers) and we are going to be well rested and healthier going into a very important divisional game against a beat up Iggles team.
2) I was wondering if we switch Orakpo and Kerrigan around this weekend. This would get Orakpo coming from Vicks blind side and force Vick to throw into a rushing Kerrigan who seems to play with his hands up better than Orakpo, even though they are both 6'4'' it just seems like he is better at altering/batting down throws.

Just two thoughts

Re: Redskins Bye Week

Best bye week ever! Eagles suffer a loss for the 4th straight game in an ugly manner and the Giants get their asses handed to them in the final minutes of the game by the Seahawks.

Two division foes go down in heart breakers two weeks in a row...priceless.

We decided to go down to Nags Head for the weekend and it was great. The wind was kicking but this time of year you can drive out on the beach soe we just parked so the truck blocked the wind. This must have been the wedding week because we watch 3 weddings on the beach this weekend. The water is still in the 70's so I could enjoy a cool dip after a few cool beers. I did catch the 2nd half of the VT game while eating dinner. The wife loves nothing more then going out to dinners as a family and having me watch football the entire time.

I actually just got engaged and one of the things I made her agree to were that she never try to plan anything during a NFL Sunday and I get to watch Notre Dame games no matter what. Luckily she is a skins fan and I am slowly turning her into a a ND fan!

Re: Redskins Bye Week

This upcoming week is going to be a crucial point for the Redskins and their status within the NFC East. I really hope they play with a sense of urgency and that they play well, because given some of the matchups a lot is at stake.

The Redskins are going to be playing a winnable game against an Eagles team that is in disarray. A convincing win against a divisional opponent will keep us in first place in the East. Both the Giants and the Cowgirls are playing tough games next week. The Giants are hosting the Buffalo Bills, and the Cowpukes are playing the Pats at Foxboro. IF everything goes our way, at the end of week 7 we could be looking at the following standings:

Redskins 4-1
Giants 3-3
Cowgirls 2-3
Iggles 1-5

It's time for MS to work his coaching magic. HTTR!

I just hope the coaches spend this week showing the team replays of last year. Over and over and over again.

Re: Redskins Bye Week

Big game coming up, and I agree with BB. Gotta show that MNF blowout anytime a player even starts to think that they are 1-4. The iggles are down to their last gasp, and the Skins of the last 10 years haven't known how to deliver a knockout punch. I am hoping we see another sign that this team is evolving into a class of the NFC team. Going to be a hard game to win though. (Although I will take MS and KS against a first year DC any day!)

Re: Redskins Bye Week

over at cowboys zone they have a poll about beating the Pats. Think a fan base might be a little humble/nervous about facing the Patriots in their house? Nah... 169 votes that dallas will beat the pats, and 73 that they will lose. Can you say Wow?!?

Re: Redskins Bye Week

I think we are catching the Iggles at a great time. Mentally, they looked drained...coaching staff and players.

Iggles may be easier to run the ball against than the Rams. Their safeties and LBs are very poor tacklers...Torain's run style should thrive against those guys.

We switched them a time or two vs the colts in the preseason with the left Painter in.. I'd have to imagine that they will be practicing this
